Clear aligners can treat many common concerns, such as crowded or gapped teeth. The only way to know for sure is a clinical assessment. Your partner dentist will check your teeth and tell you honestly whether aligners are the right option - and if they’re not, what is.
How long does clear aligner treatment take?
Every smile is different, so there’s no fixed timeline. After your assessment, your dentist and the planning team map out your treatment step by step. You’ll see the full plan - including how long it’s expected to take - before you decide.
How many hours a day do I wear aligners?
Around 20–22 hours a day. You take them out to eat, to drink anything other than water, and to brush - then put them straight back in. The more consistently you wear them, the more closely your treatment follows the plan.
Do clear aligners hurt?
Most people feel some pressure for a day or two when they switch to a new set. It’s a sign the aligners are working, and it usually fades quickly. There are no brackets or wires to rub. If something doesn’t feel right, your dentist is there to help.
Will I still see a dentist?
Yes - and that matters. A NextGen Alygn partner dentist near you supervises your treatment from your first scan to your final check-in, with regular visits along the way.
How much do clear aligners cost?
Your price depends on your treatment plan. After your assessment, you’ll get a personalized quote and a payment plan, so you know the full cost before you commit. See the plans above for a starting point.
Are clear aligners as effective as braces?
For many common cases, such as crowding, gaps and some bite issues, clear aligners can be a better alternative to braces. More complex cases may still be better suited to braces. Your dentist will tell you which option fits your teeth after an assessment.
Can adults get clear aligners?
Yes. Many people start as adults. Age matters less than the health of your teeth and gums, which your dentist checks at your assessment.
What happens after treatment?
Once active treatment ends, you wear a retainer to help keep your teeth in their new position. Your retainer is included in your package at no extra charge.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Through our partner clinics you can spread the cost over 12, 24 or up to 30 monthly instalments. Your dentist confirms your plan and price after your assessment.
